Imma go with “fake”.

“Maybe because y ou have run out of ammo. ” The private’s immediate response of hanging his head in shame is totally believable. You get the sense that he just had the world’s biggest brainfart, an d doesn’t need the instructor to go into any more detail than he already has .   But the next part where he asks “how did this happen? ” N ah, I don’t buy tha t.

there is that too.... tho the army doesnt take kindly to drug use... least ours doesnt

they just sacked 50 troops for it (thats like 2 thirds of our army)

I mean, people are that stupid but this seems likes it been played up just a bit. Plus I can imagine the Drill Sergeant’s or Cadre’s leadership would be throwing a fit about filming this and throwing it on the Youtubes. N ot that that’s stopped anybody before, I guess

The Army teaches SPORTS when clearing a malfunction. Slap, pull, observe, release, tap and shoot. That guy didn’t even attempt it, so I’m guessing it was staged.  In the second video one of the guys does forget to drop his bolt after a reload, which was probably an actual mistake, unlike the lost grenade.
